Dr. Ram Kumar Rao is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Avisena Specialist Hospital 2, Shah Alam, with special interests in joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy, sports injuries and complex trauma.
He obtained his MBBS from Manipal University College Malaysia and Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics from the University of Malaya. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Hip & Knee Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine under Prof. Michael Hantes at the University Hospital of Larissa, Greece, an ESSKA and ISAKOS-accredited teaching center.
His practice focuses on restoring mobility and function through evidence-based, personalised care, ranging from joint preservation and minimally invasive treatment to complex fracture surgery and joint replacement.
